DubDiggah – founder of Masterlink Studio – has been working at the intersection of music, technology and culture since the mid-1980s. Raised in sound system tradition and trained in the analog era, he developed a way of working that prioritizes musical truth over trends and durability over hype.
Across four decades, his work has moved between underground scenes and international stages – from raw dancehall sessions and hip-hop productions to orchestral recordings, film scoring and contemporary electronic projects. The common thread is not genre, but intention: understanding what a piece of music is trying to become, and guiding it there without losing its character.
His credits include collaborations with artists such as Buju Banton, Vybz Kartel, Dawn Penn, TOK, Freddie McGregor, Barrington Levy, Third World, Sister Nancy and many more, alongside numerous independent releases across Europe, North America and beyond.
Masterlink Studio now operates from a secluded location in the Spanish countryside – a focused creative environment built for listening rather than distraction. Projects arrive from around the world and leave ready for real-world playback: streaming platforms, clubs, radio, cinema and physical formats alike.
DubDiggah’s role is not limited to engineering. Depending on the project, he works as producer, composer, arranger, editor or sonic director – shaping performances, refining structure, and translating ideas into finished records.
Whether the starting point is a rough demo recorded at home or a fully produced session, the goal remains the same:
